Productiveness of the people in the East is the most important factor behind the sustainability of the Eastern revival program. Therefore, the Government has identified many projects that will boost the capacity of the people of the East to be active partners in this endeavor. This includes development projects in education, sports, culture, health, rehabilitation, social welfare, probation and child care, etc. In addition, several related environmental and infrastructure development projects have also been given priority. They include, improvement of land administration, clearing landmines, irrigation systems, re-settlement of internally displaced people (IDPs), and aquatic resources.
